Medical Acupuncture

At the first glance, Contemporary Medical Acupuncture may look strikingly similar to Traditional Chinese Acupuncture, where small thin needles are inserted into various points of the body including hands, feet, and the scalp. These needles are then left in place for a period of time before needle removal. At times a battery operated electrical device may be attached to one or more needles to aid in the treatment process and at other times  use of a battery operated electrical device may be omitted.

Contemporary Medical Acupuncture provides segmental and
extra-segmental analgesia in addition to modulating  the central nervous system and thus impacting recovery of  local tissues.
